Anniversary trip (Day 3 PM)

In the aftermath of dealing with the death of Rosie and not able to do anything we decided to go out for the day. We decided to get in the car and drive. Dustin had received his new iPhone 3G S by Fed Ex on Thursday and he wanted a new case for it so he wouldn't scratch it. We ended up on the northeast side of town at the AT&T store. This wonderful woman took care of us and showed me the coolest new App... Urbanspoon! OMG it is so cool. All you have to do is shake it and it finds a restaurant for you!! So cool I promise!!

After being super excited about the new App, we then went to Rivergate Mall and my teacherness made me stop at a teacher store. We forget the name of it but it WAS NOT UNITED ART AND EDUCATION! Dustin bought a sign for his shop, "No Slacking Anytime" and I got some of those large papers to put directions on and hang them up around the room. The teacher store there was quite cheap and did remember its secondary teachers!

The time difference kind of sucked for our eating schedule because we were always hungry an hour before anything opened! After the teacher store we went to Calhoun's BBQ. We ate at a Calhoun's on our wedding honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tn. This restaurant was nothing like that one so it was a little bit of a let down.

So we decided to back to the hotel, get around and go to the Opryland Hotel and buy tickets for a bus shuttle downtown. A bus driver walked in and said there was a bus behind him that would take us to the Opryland Hotel; however, that guy was mistaken and we had to walk there, which really wasn't maybe but a mile total?! haha We just wanted to be lazy and I didn't want to sweat!

So we walked around the hotel looking for the riverside bar (yes there is a river inside this hotel). Guess what? It was closed!

So we took a few pics, smelled the familiar surroundings, and decided to get on the bus to go downtown. The bus driver was an onry young mature man and told us where to go to have fun. He dropped us off in front of the Wildhorse Saloon. We decided to go in there and it really wasn't all that happening. I mean come on who wants to stay in a place when all the fountain drinks were flat! Okay but the best part was the family next to us. A man and his wife got out on the floor for line dancing lessons. The other gentleman stayed back and was laughing and we were laughing so we had a little bonding with our buddies from Buffalo, NY.

We decided to get out and go to another bar to see any more music. I wanted to go to the Coyote Ugly bar! I assumed it would be like the movie! Boy was I wrong. It had less people than our local bar in the neighborhood! They were all grimey men. So we went to the bathroom and left! so we continue to walk and I see a sign for $2 drafts! Well why not?! So we go in and the singer welcomes us on his mic haha and we get our beer. There was a girl in her bra and underwear with a tiny skirt over the top. She was cute, however, not all appropriate for the type of bar we were in. We almost finish our one beer and wouldn't you know it the dance machine from Buffalo showed up! We bonded again and then decided to leave for better music. The Buffalo group says, "See ya at the next bar." We laugh and walk about.

We walk into this place called The Stage. A band was getting ready to start in about 5 minutes so we decide to get a drink and hang out for a few to see if we like them. O M G they were the best! Savannah Jack is who they were and they were such great performers!!! We stayed the whole time got autographs and pics with the band!! By the way, the dancing machine showed up again and bought us a drink. Crazy dude but we had a blast with him!
Does this guy look familiar? Free Credit Report???

We walked back to Wildhorse Saloon for the bus driver to pick us up and I met some citizens from America's Cap and really enjoyed them :) Dustin and I were hungry getting off the bus so we walked to McDonald's and got chicken nuggets and a sandwich and then walk back to the hotel. I'm telling you tonight was almost as good as Wynonna!!
