This weekend, my best friend from high school finally took the plunge and got married. So Dustin and I drove up to Albion on Friday night. I can't believe Christie Yates waited this long. She met Rick Wysong in October of 2002 and I met Dustin in early November 2002... Needless to say it's been a long wait for her to get married.
She was beautiful of course wearing an ivory colored dress. I will post pictures if I ever get any. I didn't take any of my own because I was in the wedding party.
The rehearsal dinner was Friday night at St. James Restaurant. We arrived a bit early and sat at the bar. This guy next to me asked what my name was and I told him my maiden name was Lawson. He thinks for just a second and says, "Oh you're the cop's daughter, right?" I said, "yes," all the while thinking this is exactly why I left in the first place! Oh well... I do find comfort in that as well.
The wedding was Saturday and we came home that night. It was an awfully busy weekend and I feel as thought I got nothing done... Oh, wait, I didn't!!!
On another note, only 8 days of school left (including today)!!!!
