Zoo Boo 2011

Dietrich is still a bit young to understand Halloween and the trick or treating idea, so we took him to the Indianapolis Zoo Boo this year.  I went to Kmart (oh how I loathe that store--even more so because it's just down the road) because I needed a few items and heard on the PA that costumes were 75% off for the next 20 minutes.  As much as I can't stand that store, I knew I wouldn't be in there shopping that long so I raced over there and found the perfect outfit!  I don't know about you, but every time I try to check out at Kmart, there is someone so slow they almost go in reverse as a cashier.  This time I lucked out--I had a pretty hot guy checking me, I mean checking my items out :)

Just got dressed in the parking lot of the zoo.
Yeah, that's right.  I'm an Airman like Daddy, but I'm in Army uniform.

Excited to go to the zoo with Daddy.

Looking at the sting ray's with Daddy.  Daddy was scared of these when we were at St. Pete Beach, Fl this summer.

Chewing on Daddy's coat strings.

Walking in the zoo on my own.  Had to grab a leaf.

Trying to pick of ALL of the leaves.

That's right, I'm cool.

Walking alongside the stroller just before I nose plant as we walk down a hill.

Daddy took me to the "desert" since Mommy is too scared to go in there.
Getting worn out.

My first experience trick or treating and getting candy.

Mommy and I with the giraffe's and Mommy's former student behind her.

I think I've got this... you walk on your own to a lady...

Wait patiently to get your candy!
All this new stuff is making a soldier, I mean Airman thirsty.

Gotta get my wing man to help me out.

Daddy and I looking at the baby Elephant with the big one behind.

Lions?  I'd rather chase this little girl.

Zonked.
