Chrismas with the Walker's

On Christmas Eve, Dustin and I woke up and just wanted to relax most of the day. I had asked him not to cook breakfast, so he was starving. I was in the kitchen making sugar cookies from scratch, "better than sex" cake, and homemade bread. That took me about 3-4 hours to complete so we didn't even get a chance to get anything in our stomachs until around 2:00. Dustin was craving Hardees so we got two sandwiches and came home. The sandwiches from Hardees are so big neither of us could finish them so we threw them in the fridge, showered, and got ready to go to Dustin's mom's house for the celebration with the Walker family. When we got there we handed the camera over to Jesse, Dustin's cousin.

Here's Linda (Dustin's mom) and his cousin Casey with Moose (Dachshund). Linda made vegetable soup, cheese ball, and French cherry pie.

Dustin and I quickly cleared the table so we could play Euchre. In picture are left-right, Sam (Dustin's brother), Dustin, Andy (Dustin's uncle), and me. Andy made beenie-weenies to add to the meal.

Of course Jesse had the camera so he had to perfect this picture of himself. This boy reminds me so much of my own brother it's crazy. I love this guy :)

The Barnes' family: Kenny, Joy, Jessie, Casey. Joy is Linda's sister. They came from near Hagerstown to visit for the Eve of Christmas.

Kenny and Andy playing Euchre with us. Of course Dustin and I lost every single time we played!

I believe these are Linda's feet, with Squirrell, Gracie, Grady, Rosie, and Moose (by the feet).

Here is Sam, Dustin's older brother.

The two sisters: Linda and Joy.

The story behind this begins with me making my sugar cookies from scratch. I went across the street to borrow the cookie cutters from our neighbor. The mold for this one was a stocking so I iced all the others normally. Dustin thought they looked like the male genitalia. So I had pink frosting and chocolate sprinkles and a little white frosting and got this.

Here is Dustin with his brother Sam after we got our butts kicked at Euchre.

The losing couple at Euchre.

No one else would play Euchre and left early so Dustin and I played rummy. He learned just how good I was at the game and told me I was counting cards and got upset because I knew what cards were in his hands haha.

Dustin took us downtown on the way home to see the Indianapolis Christmas Tree since we didn't get to see the lighting ceremony this year.

Lilly's beautiful lights just south of downtown.
