Long time no blog!

I saw it's been six months since I've last posted anything and within the last six months a lot has happened!!  In February we found out we were expecting our second baby!

Because of all the problems with the last pregnancy I've been at the doctor since 5 weeks.  I worked out a lot during that first and most of the second trimester and that seemed to ward of most of my emotions, fatigue, and nausea.

We took a quick trip to Cincinnati, Ohio to just get away late March/early April.  It was nice to use a Groupon and get cheap hotel rate.  We saw the Creation Museum and the Freedom Museum and did a lot of walking and relaxing.  We learned Dietrich liked to eat apples like a big boy.
Having lunch at Rock Bottom in Cincinnati.
Dietrich learned how to draw with chalk on the sidewalk.  It has been so unseasonably warm that he's gotten used to being outside a lot.
Mommy ordered a new double stroller after tons of research.  Came to the conclusion that this Baby Jogger's City Mini Duo was our best choice.  It's very light weight (lighter than our Safety 1st travel system).  As you can see Dietrich loves this... He pulled it open himself--shows just how simple it is to use, and would watch Veggie Tales in it.

We also experienced some illnesses with Dietrich.  Here he has an ear infection.
The little man in the stroller again!  Finally had to get the baby girl's room started to get it together so we could put the stroller away!
Dietrich experienced his first Children's Museum visit as well in April.  He loves Mr. Potato Head and the exhibit was there for him to play.
His other favorite toy that he plays with every day--LEGOS.  The exhibit is there until the end of July I believe.

This past year I've been working on my Master's of Education degree.  Because I had enough credits, I was able to attend the ring ceremony and receive my SMWC ring.

Dietrich also has been going through massive growth spurts.  In April as a 19 month old his feet were a size 8 1/2 extra wide.  We had to go to Fed Toegnia's for shoe fitting.  Jeeze!
Poor boy didn't realize he'd have to go to Vera Bradley sale with his favorite women either lol.
I promise he's not screaming here.  We told him to smile and this is what he did:  Love his Cheesecake Factory!
Dietrich got his first sandbox this year too.  Again with the extremely warm temps early on, he was able to experience this quickly.
At Grandma and Grandpa Lawson's, he finally wasn't afraid of the 4-wheeler.
Excited for some Red Lobster... or in his case the popcorn shrimp meal.
I got to experience an awesome evening with Ann Graham Lotz.  I showed up knowing that the city was doing something amazing for God's glory and didn't put two and two together until I saw her and said to my friend next to me, "OH MY GOSH That's Billy's daughter!" haha.  What an inspiring woman, that's for sure.
May roll's around and Grandpa Lawson comes down the night before my Master's graduation walk. Of course everything Grandpa does, Dietrich has to do or participate in.
Here is a super sick boy!  I had an inkling that at some point Dietrich would be sick again, and this time it would involve vomiting because that's the one thing we haven't had to deal with yet.  Sure enough soon after this pic was taken there was vomit everywhere and it continued for about a week and a half.
Ended up taking him to Riley's ER.  His fevers were over 104 degrees.  Come to find out little man really did grow a ton and we weren't giving him enough medicine since he weighed as much as a 2 year old or more!
This boy does not fall asleep anywhere but his own bed or carseat (if we're lucky).  Here he was watching Veggie Tales to help him relax and go to sleep.
Cuddled up in his stroller after being checked out and diagnosed with an ear infection.
Here's Dietrich's first time playing in the hose.  Loves to water the flowers!
Goofy boy with his sun glasses.
Went to the Ft. Wayne Zoo with Grandma, Eric, Dora, and Cutter.
Feeding some geese out of his hands.

Dietrich and Daddy at the air show watching the Thunderbirds.  Can't tell but there's pride in their eyes when they see the USAF Thunderbirds.
Dietrich saw Mommy painting her toenails (and let me tell ya it was prob a sight bc my belly is now getting much bigger by this point!) so he had to have his toes painted the same color.
Pics of my completed, submitted, and accepted Thesis!

Dude walks like a lady--yes he was wearing my heels.
Daddy and Dietrich as bunny rabbits.
Dietrich and Daddy check out the chicks at the Marion County Fair.  Let me tell ya this is a county fair that made me laugh the whole time.  4 cows, 2 rabbits, few pigs, lol.  Quite interesting to say the least!
Mommy got ideas to go to Hobby Lobby and make some Pinterest-inspired fun for Dietrich.  This happens to be one of his fave things to still do.
We finally go back to the Children's Museum in July and get a family membership.  Here's Dietrich in the Lego section and Daddy had to carry him out of there after we'd been in there for more than 30 minutes!

 Hot Wheels Exhibit

Finally got him to smile on the Carousel.
