Decorating our home

Because I've always felt that the home Dustin and I live in is not necessarily "ours" because he had it before we started dating. So recently Dustin and I decided that I'm to make this house our home. This weekend I took him up on that offer and went shopping for home decor. I know decorating is a bit expensive, so I just went to see what tickled my fancy. Here's what I came home with:

This is a picture Dustin's uncle Mike painted... not by number either like I would do, but it has always hung in the middle of our large wall with the couch. I bought the sconces on either side at Old Tyme Pottery.


This is my all time favorite buy. I got the three flower pictures at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. I got the sconce at Old Tyme Pottery. Dustin thinks I did a great job on this part too :) This section is to the left of our big picture window.


Here is a flower arrangement I made from Hobby Lobby sales. Notice the picture of Senior Prom 2003 of Dustin and I.



Here is a picture I found for only $20 at Old Tyme Pottery. I loved it, Dustin doesn't, but what can I say?! haha It is pretty.

Next up:

Finish the section above the aquarium, the front above the TV, and get some curtains for the picture window. Any ideas of places to go, please let me know!
